Partner Commitments
Partners (Grant Recipients)
- Actively seek out local community partners to advance the goals of the project and Architect development.
- Support WCCN’s goal to achieve a minimum of 60% of climate corps funding supporting service in, for, or by members of overburdened communities as defined in RCW 70A.65.010, the Climate Commitment Act.
- Include preference in recruiting individuals who represent the diversity of the communities being served in the project description.
- Ensure participants receive stipend amounts that correspond to the defined tier for their service location (see budget worksheet).
- Implement the project in accordance with the milestones and timelines of the executed grant agreement.
Each WCCN-funded Architect is required to record and submit their personal narrative via the WCCN-provided platform at three key stages during their service term.
Program Expectations

- Ensure member participation in a service-learning program as defined by WCCN.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of program participants, including compliance with proper health and safety procedures, providing WCCN members with personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Invest in the success of WCCN members by providing meaningful organizational capacity to manage and oversee their service experience.
- Provide channels for direct communication between WCCN members, host sites, and WCCN staff, as appropriate.
- Provide WCCN Architects with opportunities to network for career exploration and professional mentorship.
Network Development
- Participate in network calls with WCCN and other participating programs to:
- share resources and challenges with partners
- promote opportunities and partnerships, and
- collaborate with network partners to improve the service-learning program and contribute to feedback opportunities.
- Share timely updates with WCCN on project activities (e.g., project or host partner identification, member recruitment, program completion).
- Comply with WCCN and CCA communications requirements (e.g., branding, messaging)
- Participate in network communications activities including but not limited to:
- amplification of WCCN activities on social channels,
- storytelling opportunities (e.g., video/photography, interviews with WCCN members, success stories), and
- coordinated press/media efforts as needed.
